Confirmation & Admission to Holy Communion

Admission to Holy Communion

The Eucharist is at the heart of the Christian faith, making Christ present in the heart of his people as he commanded us to do. It is therefore important that children, an equal part of the Christian community, the Body of Christ, are part of this central act of the Christian faith by being present and, where appropriate, by receiving Holy Communion.  Along with many Church of England parishes, we prepare children who, along with their families, are regular members of one of the congregations to receive Holy Communion.  If you wish your child to be admitted to Holy Communion, please talk to our vicar, Erica.

Confirmation happens when young people or adults wish to make that conscious decision to affirm their Christian faith, and involves re-affirming baptismal vows, and the laying on of hands and anointing by the Bishop. We also welcome those enquiring about and exploring the Christian faith.  Please contact our vicar, Erica if you would like to talk.
